The property is an original purchase by Martin Boots from the U.S. Government by Land Title. After many years as farm ground, the William Burke family purchased the land and in the late 1800's built the existing house. The current owners purchased the home in 1994. Remodeling and an addition to the house were completed in 1999. Burke Place B&B was featured in the "Fort Wayne" a monthly magazine, March 2005 issue, in an article written by Julianne Will entitled, "Summit City Travel: Getaways, Adventures, Experiences; Inns and Outings -- Comfort is everywhere at Burke Place Bed & Breakfast, Marion, IN". |
